Diabetes Update

I had a great Dr.'s appt today. He was real pleased with my weight loss and my bloodwork. First of all I weighed in at 218 1/2. That's 29 pounds gone since 2-2! :)Second my A1C (bascially a test of my blood sugar) went down from an 8 (should be under 6) to a 5.8. My cholestrol was down to 209 and my HDL 42 and LDL 156 and they were 48 and 165. So I still need to work on getting my cholestrol down but it's much better. My liver enzymes were MUCH better. Still elevated but not as bad. My AST was 21 and my ALT was 77. So all those numbers may not mean a lot to people but they are good! Means I am on the right track. I will stay on the diet and exercise and 2000 mg of Glucophage and go back in mid August.
